Song of the Week #10: Wretch

wretchWretch Lyrics:
tearing up a song
and a day
lost between
a rock and the grave
don’t stay that way
everything I do for you
tainted with heart of the brave
am I loosing my head or am I loosing my soul
I’m only a wretch you know
latley

tearing up a song
and a day
lost between
a rock and the grave
don’t stay that way
everything I do for you
tainted with heart of the brave

am I loosing my head or am I loosing my soul
I’m only a wretch you know
latley
all the words that i said
are not a truth but a goal
rebel of what you sew

love is such a hard place to rest
asking more than what i posses
I need a rubber soul
God to love me slow
for I’m falling further than the rest

I loosing my head or am I loosing my soul
I’m just a wretch you know
Save me
from all the words that i said
and all the places I go
rebel to what you sew

love is such a hard place to rest
your love is such a hard place to rest

am I loosing my head or am I loosing my soul
I’m just a wretch you know
Save me
from all the words that i said
and all the seeds I sew
I’m only a wretch you know

Manhattan (hell of a girl) Lyrics:
She don’t do rain
she don’t shine
She don’t do anything on her own dime
She’s not beside me
She doesn’t like me
Oh I went to hide
it took three days to find me

But she’s a girl
ready to go
i took her swingin and she found a new joe
you say I’m crazy just a swine and a pearl
let me tell something
she’s a hell of a girl

she says that money
binds of tight
she thinks a bargen is when we start to fight
she sold our wedding to her brother
then she took our honeymoon with someboy other

but she’s a girl
ready to run
I took her hunting cause she wanted a gun
Oh it hurt like crazy
but I’ll give her my world
Cause let me tell you something
she’s a hell of a girl

she’s a girl
ready to run
I drop my pants and she already done.
And she so lazy that her hair wouldn’t crurl
But let me tell you something
she’s a hell of a girl

she don’t do rain she don’t do shine
she don’t do anything about all the time
she smells like whiskey
when she kiss me
oh but that the only time she gets humble and frisky

she’s a girl
ready to run
you think i suffer
but oddly it’s fun
i wouldn’t trade her for the love of the world
so let me tell you something
she’s a hell of a girl

Well.. I wrote two songs this week, and they are kind of a part one and part two so posted them both on songwriters podcast #7. The links to listen to these are above the lyrics.

My, God the silent mind
written by Jason .H & KingEz

how can i run to you
when i cant see your face
or know what you do

and how can i follow
food i can’t swallow
or taste that your the truth

or feel your warmth like the sun
is my God deaf and dumb

how can I praise you
how can I love you
when pain is all i find
Why won’t you answer
ghost and the dancer
my God the silent mind

why don’t you call me
why won’t you write me
if you want to talk i’m near
where would i go?
so write on my soul
GOD WAS HERE

your weight is on my mind
my God the silent kind

The Day
Written by J.P. Adams and KingEz

I won’t wait
to see your throne
your too late
i died alone
in a thousand days
in a quiet soul
so I won’t wait
i’m coming home

this is a fathers love you say
to suffer me the day
until we’re sewn
into the grave
we die alone
suffer me the pain
that i too have known
sinners and slaves
i’ve made my own
and call them home

elijah’s grave
in the babtist’s bones
he could not save
but pointed on
to the washer of eyes
and the blindess of the soul
“life”, he came
to die alone

this is a father’s love: a grave
so suffer me the day
until your sewn
you pass away
and love is grown
suffer me the pain
i too have known
sinners and slaves
i make my own
to take you home

this is a father’s love: to pay
suffer me the day

suffer me the day
your not alone
i pass away
and love is grown
so suffer me the pain
I too have known
your not a slave
your not alone
suffer me the day

i’ll take you home

Here is the song of the week #6 but played on Podcast #7 music written by my good friend Stéphane Amaté for my little girl Cosette… and so, of course I had to write to it.
cosette ROUGH MIX.

Cosette Lyrics

first you learn to crawl
and then you learn to fall
the rest is just a balance
of the hummpty’s on the wall
hope can light even the dark
ambition is a shark
the wise are wrong
weak are strong
passing through
the demons of the heart

and when you feel alone
don’t sit on saddness like a throne
this fallen world was
never meant for little girls
cause beauties song
is not for long
it’s shadow is asleep
outside the door

and though your never sure
don’t think that magic is the cure
it’s just a star
pointing dimmly in the dark
to the God above
he’s made of love
and quiet as the breaking of your heart

first you learn to talk
and then you learn to cry
the rest is just a recipie
a dash of truth and lies
love truley mistifying
always born and always dying
never win?
try again
love is worth the pain you feel inside

and when you feel alone
don’t let the broken be your home
this fallen world was never meant for little girls
so stand up strong
cause i’ll be gone
but never farther than
you can endure

and though it taste so pure
don’t think that romance is the cure
he’s just a star
pointing dimmly in the dark
to god of love he’s far above
but closer than the breaking of your heart

first you learn to love
then you learn to hate
then you learn to love again
and hope it’s not too late
bliss few and far between
but greater than you ever dreamed
in lovers arms
you feel no harm
has ever been or ever still to be

but still you’ll feel alone
don’t wear it like a precious stone
this fallen world was never meant for little girls
while nights are long
the painful song
is adding to a perfect string of pealrs

and though your never sure
don’t think that pleasure is the cure
it’s just a star pointing dimmly in the dark
to the the God above
he’s made of love
and shouting like the breaking of you heart
