Song of the Week: Songwriters Podcast #6

This week we talk about online collaboration, the land-mines. benefits, tears and joy of pollinating the world with your song. This week we talk about online collaboration, the land-mines. benefits, tears and joy of pollinating the world with your song. This is a big subject so we start off with my favorite musician collaboration site kompoz.com and also look at esession.com. We also grace over the clunker indabamusic.com/.. not my favorite. My terrible 2 week long cold got in the way of actually recording my song of the week… though I did write the melody and lyric. My collaborator this week is one of my personal favorites Stéphane Amaté. I’ve just completed a full production with him, valentune (which is to be called holiday.. I screwed up on itunes). Also big thanks to Bjorn for the use of (not yet titled) snakeeyes (one of our colabs) and Jason. Let me know what you think! leave a comment for my mom to see.

We’re back. The King is sick in this episode.. so excuse the painful voice. We talk a bit about different profit sharing stradagies in publishing and also look at the audio/podcast host podcastmachine.com. The Song of the week is a Challenge for KingEz to write a song every-week, either by collaboration, or on his lonesome. He had planed to do a collaboration this week, but with his frog voice, decided to write a song to fit his frog voice and mood. Please tell your friends about the cast and let us know what you think.. questions .. rants and so forth.

I realize the song may be a little offensive to some.. but it is a satirical look at the Pop industries obsession with youth and sex… and sometimes an explicit word is the only one that fits the purpose.

Make sure you check out KingEz on Sell-a-band and pre-order his next CD… Why?? Because he needs your help to complete the budget for his next CD. By helping (pre-ordering) you not only get the physical CD and Downloads you get get goodies and even profit shares of the sales.

Desert Town
Desert Town Lyrics:

dripi’n down like honey
music on my mind and soul
life is lot like money
spend it all you want so more

God dint make no dummy
by i might be a n imbosol
it might be funny
oh but the joke is getting old

every thing i wanted
everything i wished for
why you gonna light me up a spark
to watch it drown

in shadows
all that i did ask for
why you gonna build me like an Ark
in desert town

take your tempture honey
you aink sick but you might be old
damn the big mans money
talk’n bout the bitch of soul

ching ching ching

that Big o’l ass
is solid gold

talk’n bout money saying
Big o’l ass
is solid gold

sing it like you got some soul

Listen to the Songwriter podcast featuring this song: This song of the week was a collaboration with Raanan Adler a fellow renaissance musician from NYC. If you are new here… the song of the week is from the Songwriter Podcast Challenge of writing and recording one song a week guerilla style so the production and mix value are not the issue we’re so much worried about. Enjoy and let us know what you think of the song of the week and the Songwriter Podcast.
Untitled

(untitled) Lyrics

shes on a roll
dressed in red
shes finding er soul
among the dead
when love is in vogue
she’s on a roll
ready to go

goodbye Angie

cover your eyes
cause her love is
magical lies
floating doves
severing ties
dodging knives
cover your eyes

shes righter than wrong
myths and fables
sing’n a song
dance on tables
just to belong
righter than wrong
singing a song

goodbye Angie
why so strangley
when you go with all your friends again
tell them that i never win
goodbye Angie
why leave so strangley
when you find someone to love
tell them that they’ll never win

why not just let her go
shes on fire
I don’t know
strange desire
swallow me whole
just let her go

wronger than right
myths and fabels
call it a night
dancing on tabelsr
call it a night
call it a night

goodbye Angie
why so strangley
when you go with all your friends again
tell them you i never win
goodbye Angie
why leave so strangley
when you find someone to love
tell them that they’ll never win

Pagan Boy Lyrics:

adam an eve din’t have no clothes
so i can see why they fell so low
cause i resist even a kiss
in a parka in the snow

jfk and ms monroe
what a waist of Jackie O
there dangerous
Miss. or Ms.
i got blinders on my soul

cause she’s fine
and shes so mine
if i were a pagan boy
i’d build a holy shrine

devine
I love her mind
but i’m busy with the rest
till i’m beat’n up and old

sparta broke the gates of troy
cause helen was so cute oh boy!
it’s hit or miss
war or bliss
the reason stories told

mss robinson i must declare
when he looks right threw her leg I stare
but their dangerous
the big abyss
but my heart already sold

and she’s fine
and shes all mine
if i were a pagan boy
i’d build a holy shrine

devine
I love her mind
but i’m busy with the rest
till i’m feelin kind and old

queen of sheba ol’ bathshiba
hera circe jil and reaba
can’t resist
only a kiss
and your butts out in the cold

Winona farrah mcdowell sarah
Brittany Streep and even chare
their dangerous
war or bliss
i got blinders on my soul
